Meta - thank you for your help. The camera does have two small philips screws at top of  whole of camera front (incorporating lcd display). Will take note of your advice. Sorry about your own experience - think you may have been a little ham-fisted. Trust all ended well! Re lcd screen for Mavica FD90 camera. Thought the price for part was unbelievable!  It was! I received the "wrong" part today ...stupid girl at other end of phone quoted for wrong part.  Sorry if I inconvenienced anyone.  Trish.
