HTC desire HD Wi-Fi connection

Just got a HTC Desire HD on an orange upgrade. I can't seem to get it to connect via Wi-Fi to my orange livebox. I've entered the passkey and it says its connecting then it just says disconnected. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

There are several versions of the livebox, but I know at least some of them have a button you need to press to allow them to accept a new device on wireless.
