A friend has given me some Publisher files for me to look at on my computer. I don't have Publisher programme but have Open Office. Can this open it or can anyone suggest programmes to open this without having to purchase Publisher?

My friend has now given me the information I needed from the Publisher files in hard copies so it's not that vital that I can open the files but I'm still curious whether I could have got round the problem with freeware!

Yes you could. As I explained, you could have downloaded and installed the trial version: http://www.toggle.com..._Office_Publisher.htm
