Slight Dilemma

Right, I have a bit of a problem.

Basically, I need to open up a file from my school system (we can access our school files from home) but it won't let me open it. It's a Microsoft Publisher file, but the Publisher version at my school is a newer version than the one I have on my current computer at home. When I try to open it, it simply says that it cannot open a file from a different version of Publisher.

Do any of you computer geniuses know how I can open the film at home even though I'm using a different version? Or is it really impossible? Because I'm getting a bit desperate and my work is piling up on me!

Your help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance x

first, what version of publisher do you have at home? then, what you need to do is while in school, click "save as..", and see that at the bottom, it'll say that it's going to save the file as a publisher file. click that box, and instead choose to save it as a "publisher 97" file, or whatever version you have at home. then you should be able to read it from home.
