I live in the south-east which has not yet permanently switched to digital. About a year ago I bought a new TV and aerial in readiness for the switch over and have been able to receive both digital and analogue - until yesterday. A notice appeared on the screen saying 'red button' had moved and something about re-running the set up. I've explored various Menu options and can now only receive analogue. Is it something I have done? I'm so angry that I'm thinking a hammer and the rubbish tip might be the answer. Any ideas please about how to get it back to red button and digital?

Might help someone who may know if you provided TV model details, Other than that I would suggest re reading the maual again. Might be something simple like a switch you have to flick or pressing a remote button the right way.
Go into TV Menu via Remote and select Digital Set-up. Do a Full Digital scan and make sure it is the digital that you are scanning and not the Analogue as your TV has probably got 2 Tuners.

Thank you for your thoughts on this. I have a Samsung SyncMaster 2333 HD. Other inscriptions on it also indicate 'DVT monitor 10000:1 Dynamic Control.' I've searched in Menu but couldn't find anything about Digital set up or how to re-run it. If my TV has 2 tuners I don't see a way of controlling which one is being used. At present analogue is all I am receiving.

This is (supposedly) a link to download the manual should you not have one.

Dotty, I wasn't expecting a comedy show but a little light relief wasn't a bad thing. Postdog, thanks for the link. I have downloaded a 'user manual' - lots of pages to wade through - and that's a job for tomorrow. 'Bye for now.
