Just been enquiring about different internet/phone packages. I've been offered anything from 10 GB to 50 GB download allowance each month. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much this is in terms of,say,films/music? Although my main activity on PC is playing flahplayer games (poker/farmtown etc) so would that count as download? I'm not all that tech minded as you can guess.

Every bit of data which comes through your phone line (or cable) contributes to your download total, whether that be the components of websites like this one, emails, streamed audio/video or games data.

The calculator here should help:

Are you sure that's the download limit and not the speed?

Speed is 8meg and it says 50GB download allowance??

Thanks Buenchico that was useful. What I did was doubled our usage on all sections (just to be on the safe side!) and it still only came out as 24GB per month so, I think anything over 20GB per month will be ample.
