Simple backup programme?

I ahve recently woken up to the fact that I should have a full backup in case my laptop dies.

Can anyone recommend a simple (VERY simple) programme.

I purchased an iomega portable drive which gives me a free iomega programme called quickprotect. I also obviously have the built in windows backup programme.

I am ideally looking for a programme where I can make a full/major backup of the whole drive (plus a system disc in case I need to start from scratch) and then (simply?!) ask it to add any new files created on a weekly basis.

Best to make a new image regularly. Then trouble-free and using no system resources (like many others do when running constantly)

A backup of all the files on your system disk isn't necessarily going to be much use unless you also backup the registry. A disk image/clone would do that and DriveImage XML, which has just been suggested, is a good choice to do that.

Download and use GFI Backup free for home users it should do the job you require

Windows 7 (if you are on that) has some backup capabilities, though I have never used them and I think you can clone a disk.

Windows Vista also has some backup capability.
