Wordpress User Removal

Afternoon all,

I have a friend who want to remove an ex colleague from a wordpress blog.

They're concerned that if they click the "remove" button on the /wp-admin/users.php page all content by that user would be lost.

Naturally they'd like to keep it.

Is it safe to click the remove button or not? There isn't much information within WP to guide him (a little note which says "it's okay, you can reassign the content" would be great, no idea why they don't think of these things)

Any ideas?

I did spot that. All the links available to my friend are "remove" links rather than "delete" links - do you reckon there is a difference?
If i wasn't sure in this instance I'd probably register a new name and make a couple of posts and have a "play" to see what happens.
