Is it possible to set outlook express to send automated responses?

I'm going on holiday soon and would like to set up an automated response to any e-mails I receive saying that I'm away and that I can be contacted at....

Go to 'tools' select the ' out of office assistant' and you can type in a message that will be you automated reply to any emails you receive.

I'm using Outlook Express 6 and can't find any option for 'out of office assistant' anywhere.

Can you be more specific where I can find it please?

I believe that you need to be collecting your mail through a MS Exchange Server. This is a corporate affair and unlikely to be either under your stairs or provided by your ISP. I don't think you can do it, sorry.
You can download an additional prog, as long as you use pop and smtp (which I'd assume you do with Outlook Express, unless you're accessing a hotmail address)

yes, but do remember that you can't 'junk' any unauthorised emails, and that you could then be on someone's list for ever.
