Grandson has a digital camera and wants to copy some of my old slides but when the copier is connected to the camera (on manual operation) the shutter will not fire because it states, no lens attached! Anyone any ideas please. My photography ceased with film about 15 year ago, and only use a point and shoot now, and thats only on holiday!! B.
Just downloaded the manual and it says that when using with a telescope or similar (so I assume this is much the same) that the exposure mode should be set to manual, since you've already said that you are on manual I think that calling Sony is going to be your only option.

I've found a workable solution is to set up the old slide projector with a digital camera next to it, and re-take the photos as they are projected. I'm slowly working through mine in this way.
