Skype installation - not!

Please help ! I am trying to set up a Skype account and after completing all the details and pressing "I agree- continue " it just goes back to the start to a blank fill in all the details again. Where am I going wrong?? Thanks .

click start then Programs and look to
see if Skype appears there.

Thank you. I have got an icon and was able to see my daughter and talk - Yipee!- but she couldn't see me which could be a blessing! I will look at the instructions and see if I have to download anything else for that not just plug in.

My version has an icon which when I am in a video call lets me "Turn on/off my Video"............it's down at the bottom of the screen on a pop up bar activated with the mouse pointer, along with other things such as end call....Version 5.5.0.124.
