Why is it that in some websites the 'back' button won't take me out of the site. Is there anyway of exiting a site without hitting the home button and starting the search all over?

They don't want you to leave so they overlay the previous address with the current, you're trapped!
theres a way round this. Click the little down arrow next to the back button, and select where u were before selecting the website you cant get out of!
The simplest way is to press the shift key when left clicking the original link in your search engine.  This will cuase the link to be opened in a new window.  You therefore don't need to go back.  you just shut the window(s)
I do commando's thing, except that I 'Right click' on the left button, it shows a list of where I've been, and I click the one I want. The javascript they use can't defeat this. I hate it when sites do this action on you. It's like a shop trying to lock you in to get you to buy something! I would never even revisit a site that treated me like this!
Charlie, you were only meant to blow the blody doors off.
