On Facebook's new Timeline format, how do I keep my home address from showing up on the map? I can't find anywhere to let you unpin it. I don't like my (almost) exact location on there for the world to see!!

You must be doing it wrong then utepoot.

On your timeline just below your photograph/account picture there is a picture of a map, click on that. On the page that you land on click next to your name where it says 'map' with a down arrow next to it. On the drop down menu select 'about'. You will then be on a page with some boxes with different titles. Go to the one with the title 'living' and click 'edit' in the top right hand corner of that box. You will then see a list of the places such as home town and any others you have entered, next to those places is an arrow. Click on the arrow and select 'only me', remember to click save before you exit the pop up box. It will then block anyone else from seeing your locations.

When I do what I have said above ^^^ and then click 'view as' on my timeline, the map isn't even visible on the page.

thanks for this info daffy654....I haven't changed to timeline yet but I'm sure its another way of confusing me!and I will definately pass this info to friends who need it!...I know I will....

im dreading my fb changing to this timeline crap......

if you havent put your address in and its going by your ISP (or whatever its called) im surprised its so accurate... im in yorkshire and ive signed into fb from my front room and my location has been anywhere between sheffield (miles away) and way down south......

Hi to all, I am definitely doing it correctly, I don't know if it's a glitch or what, but I absolutely cannot get my address off the pin on the map (to not be showing to everyone.) Have all of you who have given me the instructions on how to do it also checked your own accounts through the "view as" option? You might be showing your address too. I've even tried moving the pin on the map over to a different town, Saved it, but it always pops back to my street.
