Freeview TV!
5 Answers
Having just returned from my yearly 5 month jaunt to India, I have come back to a Freeview service that is beyond a joke.
I have re-installed channels from the start, but it still takes over 5 seconds to change channels. Sometimes the signal just disappears completely when just before, I have 80% signal. And teletext is a total joke, taking 5 mins to get to the footie results?
I am in Hertfordshire. Anyone else have this problem? It's the same on two tv's in my house.

If the set is expecting a channel number that is 3 digits long and you want channel 7 and so only key in the number 7 then the set waits to see if you are going to type in any more digits; after 5 seconds of receiving nothing it will then switch to channel 007. To prevent that 5 seconds delay you need to key in leading 0's, in this particular instance 0 0 7.
As you key in a channel number you should see onscreen an indication of the total number of digits required (usually any that it is awaiting are indicated by a dash so in that example you would see 7--).
