got  smart  tv    humax tv  box   i cannot  get  any  bbc   channels can  get  all other  channnels   but  my  tv  upstairs  has  no  freeview  box   can  get  bbc   channells  on  that  one  thank u

Some tech has a more sensitive receiver than others. Is the received signal a good or borderline one ?

Turn everything off, right back to the main socket and reboot . Give the Humax Box time as they take a while to restart. But chances are it will find all the channels again afterwards.

For help from Humax call 0344 318 8800. I was having a weak signal problem ans spoke to the above. I got an email reply. 

Press settings or home on your remote. Move to settings>system settings and press OK. Move to factory default and press OK. Reset system will be highlighted, press OK. It will ask if you are sure,highlight yes, press OK. It will ask your password, default is 0000. The box will reset itself, you will need to go through the initial setup again.

Your box might be different, but this worked for me when I thought the box was at the end of its life.

Mine is a recorder box, if you do a reset any saved programmes will be lost and any future dated programmes won't be recorded without resetting them.
