Just how long is the average time needed for a page to load. I seem to spend half my time clicking the "refresh" button. Is my processor in need of an overhall or do I have to accept that if my home is a certain distance from the local exchange I will always have this problem.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.All sorts of things make a difference to the speed - distance to the exchange, contention ratio, quality of line, etc. You can get a reasonable approximation of the performance of you connection by speed test on two or three separate sites and averaging the result.
