How to download unwanted toolbar

I have somehow managed to install a "WiseConvert Community Toolbar" while I was attempting to download some instruction manual or other. (I forget what it was!).
I thought I had managed to abort the download in time but clearly not. Now every time I connect to my home page on the interenet. this annoying toolbar appears.

I don't want it! Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it?

I have Googled "Hhow to remove ...." but that just appears to give me links to further download sites which, quite frankly I view with some suspicion.

Help! Please!

Just HAD to look at this thread having seen the title. Never before known someone who wanted to know how to download a toolbar they didn't want :-D
