Looking for a Lap top that I can edit home videos on Any ideas what I should look at please?

I'm writing this on my MacBook Pro and this will handle everything but I'm sure there are cheaper Windows machines that will do the job.

Look for something with an Ivy Bridge processor in it and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't say you need a decent graphics card for editing video, the HD4000 built into the ivy bridge CPUs would be fine... but yes, for video editing at the very lest 4GB of RAM and a 64bit version of windows.

A SSD would be nice but they are still expensive for a decent size one.

Video editing is one of the most intensive things you can do with a computer.

You need the fastest processor you can get (with as many cores as possible)

the maximum RAM you can get.

The fasted hard drive you can get (hence saying a SSD)

Put these things together and you're not looking at a cheap laptop.
