Can someone tell me if £500 is a reasonable price to pay for the below


• Lifetime licence for the CMS theme
• Sourced imagery
• Site design
• Site set up
• Tutorial


(There'll only be about 3 web pages, it's basically just a presence, you can't do anything on the site)

The costs involved in running a website are the cost of the domain name, which is renewable every 2 years (very little cost); the cost of the hosting, which in your case should not exceed £30-£40; and the time factor involved in updating information and images.
Most web hosting companies now have very easily manipulated templates that enable non-specialists to make their websites. Web hosting companies also arrange domain name purchase.
So it comes down to whether you want to do it yourself or pay someone to do it. I'd have said it's down to the quality of the tuition, and the clarity with which information like passworda and renewal dates are passed on to you.

We already own the domain so that side is not an issue.

I get what you're saying about these sites that you can create your own site from but I know my boss and he will see that as a 'cheap, tacky' option. He won't go for that at all. He's one of these people that wants the best of everything he has.

From what the guy says in his e-mail it's basically him designing the page and then handing everything over to us. He will have no involvement once he's created the site.

All imagery used in the site, will be supplied in high definition format as separate files and will be ours to use in other material, if you wish.

SEO

The site will be written to comply with SEO practices to ensure you are placed high in the google rankings.
Your main key words and phrases will be identified and used in the site. I will supply these to you so you aware of the them.
