Diverting a landline

Is it possible to divert a landline (work phone) to another landline (home)?

You'll have to ring your provider and ask, BT can do it I think, but Sky can't. I don't think it's something you can do willynilly.

Yes, but you need to talk to your provider and ask them to setup call divert on your line first, which is a monthly subscription service.

On BT it costs £3.15 a month to activate the service and then when ever you use it the cost of the diverted part of the call will be billed to you.

Just noticed you said it's a work line you want to divert, in which case the price I quoted may be wrong as that's the cost for a home line, not a business line.

depends on your phone system we use mitel and i can do it very easily

That would require there to be

a) a phone system
b) at least two lines as the system would need a second line to route the call back out on.

I assumed from the wording of the question it was a single line with a simple telephone plugged into it.

We pay a small monthly fee to our provider Talktalk which I believe was the same as BT charge. *21* then dial number which you want calls diverting to followed by # key. To cancel #21# (I think).

Thanks furrypusscat (great name, by the way), I have sorted it now. I've diverted it to my mobile, as then i won't have to worry about diverting it again if I'm out and about. Thank you :-)

I am on payg mobile. I believe if I divert to mobile, my mobile is also charged for the diverted call. Don't know if that makes any difference to mobiles on contract.
