Horizontal line running across the screen of my plasma tv any idea guys?

I know little of such TVs but my guess would be a bad connection taking out a whole line of screen. In any event it sounds a shop repair to me.
TAB bonding fault/failure of the nearest row driver IC at that point. Not fixable, panel needs replacing.
Eek - that won't be cheap, will it?
Depends if it's under warranty. If not then a new TV is in order, cheaper option than repair.

Thanks tv is not under warranty so will live with it until it gets worse then think will have to think about buying a new tv
When you do, consider John Lewis who give a five-year warranty at NO extra cost.
Our flat screen TV was 4 years old when it developed a similar problem that eventually got wider and wider.

Asked a repair man to look at it....sadly short of a new innards that would cost as much as a new TV we had to ditch it for a new one.

Never got over that!!
