help with internet speed.

never had a problem with my internet until a few months ago. Now, it's soooo slow. I can't watch anything without constant streaming....it can take 20 minutes to watch a 2 minute video clip.

Got a new lappy, intel i3, 6 megs of ram, and also a reletively new router. Im with sky and im getting 0.1mb upload and 0.2 download.

Am i doing anything wrong....it's driving me potty. Thought i'd ask here before i'd phone sky up. Pretty sure im on their middle of the road broadband package.

Please check what speed you are paying for, then make a clear and unemotional complaint to Sky - backed with your measurements. Assuming that this is Sky Internet over a BT telephone line with a Sky Internet Router connected with a USB cable (it doesn't have to be), do first double-check that you have fitted the little line filters correctly. ping = 79 ms
Download = 0.17 mbps
upload = 0.11 mbps

That's really slow, we are 40mbs download and about 14 upload.
