Laptop Problem

This may seemped text like a very strange problem. When I am typing the words seem to jump backwards into the previously ty (there it's done it again)

It should read 'previously typed text'

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong or if there is a problem with the keyboard?

Mine used to do that but I disabled the touchpad and it doesn't do it anymore. I use a mouse now.

Do you have a bracelet on or a sleeve hitting the touchpad

I do use a mouse and yes I wear a bracelet - is that all it is? Can I disable the touch-pad? Thank you

Have you got a touchpad icon in the bottom tray? You click on that and disable it.

I haven't disabled mine don't know how to but i've found that the bracelet has caused it when hitting the touchpad

Sibton, I seem to remember it's a silver coloured rectangle. Mine's gone now because I disabled it. Don't know how to reinstate it.

Don't panic. Start - all programs

Somewhere there will be a manual for your machine. Open it and search for 'Touchpad'.

I can't find the silver icon

You may not have the icon.

Read the manual on your hard drive. It will be explained very clearly there.

Click Start - all programs. It will be under e-machines - user guide.

I found it by clicking on ^ bottom right, which opened a window showing sound and an icon that looked exactly like the touchpad, clicked on it to open it, the clicked again to disable it
