You may have to update your Acrobat Reader.

If i am right in saying. Go to the file and right click, go to open with.
Try using Note pad or even Internet Explorer.
Think this might do the job

u can only use adobe acrobat reader as far as i know and installing the latest is A VERY GOOD IDEA even for old files that were done in the days of version 3 and 4. don't ask why just beleive me !
