Good morning ayg.......Because you have listed 'Synaptics' as being on your task bar, I am now guessing that possibly you are using a 'laptop' and trying to correct the problem by use of the 'touch-pad'. I always feel that it is better to connect a 'mouse' as it can be very difficult to alter the width of a 'task bar' with an uncooperative touch pad....but it can be done with an element of patience.
Once one has used a mouse with a laptop,the touch pad become something of nuisance item.
