downloading MP3

when i try to download songs from links they always download as mpga which play ok in real player but I cannot put into i tunes or play on my i pod. I have tried deleting real player and i tunes is set as default but still it downloads as mpga not mp3

any ideas?

I think you can just rename the file from filename.mpga to filename.mp3.
