downloading MP3

when i try to download songs from links they always download as mpga which play ok in real player but I cannot put into i tunes or play on my i pod. I have tried deleting real player and i tunes is...

downloading mp3

from various free websites when i download mp3 songs my computer will only save them as mpga in my music folder which I cannot move to or play in itunes. i know than can be downloaded into my music...
