I seem to have accidentally signed-up to a tariff which is eating up the money. How do I get back to basics?

I think you need to speak to 02, sandy.
you can do it on the net. sign in or create yourself a sign in at the O2 website (its called my O2) and you can change you tariff. I did the same thing myself!

Thank you both. What tariff is the basic one?
what do you want to do?
I am on O2 unlimited for 10,50 a month,
the other one is simplicity.

the one i got caught out on was pay and go go go which didn't suit me at all.

As basic as possible. A few calls and less text messages. I think I might have signed up for the pay and go go go, too.
probably simplicity then. if you don't like it, you can change it after a month.
It could be worth checking that you are not getting text messages that you are being charged for. My Girlfriend was getting messages from an advertising company that cost her £1.50 per text she was receiving. If you are getting these send a reply to that text with the word stop.
be careful doing that, if you didn't authorise them to send. Some of the texts you receive are sent randomly and replying just lets them know they have sent to a "live" number
