Time Shift + pause live transmissions with USB Time Shift. This allows you to replay or pause a programme while you’re away from the TV so that you don’t miss a thing. You can then pause the live transmission or scroll it back to see what you want to see, when you want to see it. The new Time Shift + lets you record to both USB memory and hard disk drive, and you can easily scroll backwards and forwards in any programmes you record.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) is an industry standard that defines the cables, connectors and communications.

Wow, thank you, so it is worth getting? I have seen another TV (LG) which I thought was better but doesn't have this Timshift thing, which I think would be good.

Any idea what Ci+ IS? I think this TV is only on the continent as all the other makes have Ci+ TOO?
CI is Common Interface. All digital TVs in Europe are required to have a CI slot. CI slots are mostly used to provide access to encrypted programmes.

Ah so to pause live transmission, and to go back to where it was paused, you need the flash drive/pen drive thingy already in the usb slot? Is that correct?

...so that when you go back, it is on the pendrive?
Jomlett has explained pretty well what you want to know, however, ask the Sales person at the Store if you can listen to the Sound quality of the TV.
The sound quality of some of these slimline TV's are being compromised which then means you have to buy a 'SoundBar' for better Stereo sound !
LG are up and coming for Smart TVs, with Samsung the leader.

Depending on your model, the hard drive will be built-in.

Thank you both very much, and Jomlett specifically!
You're welcome.
