No Signal On Virgin Tv

i have been without signal now 2 days, virgin tv. i have to wait 2 more days for an engineer to call. though my wife told me that tv went like this before and then signal came on all by itself after few days.

does anyone know how i could fix this ? or what could be wrong ?

It could be the transmitter is out.

Disconnect Virgin box from mains wait for 1 minute then re-connect, let Virgin box re-boot. See if that works.
