Yesterday morning a pop up notice appeared to tell me that Firefox 28 was available and to click for download. However, I stopped the installation when I noted that the download would automatically include a Zone Alarms Toolbar, and there was not a 'let-out' option. I have read that Zone Alarms is 'powered' by that dreadful Conduit.
I stopped the download and went to the Official Mozilla site for a safer install. Everything is working satisfactorily.
I was about to ask about firefox, I've had messages on google+ to say that my browser is needs updating and to download either firefox, chrome or IE 8? I had problems with conduit when I downloaded chrome before and I don't know if my 34 bit Vista can handle IE8.
AYG:
Firefox is almost certainly the most popular browser among AB's regular contributors. (I love it!). As long as you download it from here:
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
it's perfectly safe and fully compatible with your operating system.
