outlook express email probs

my mum has a btyahoo e-mail address but outlook express keeps taking the e-mails. How can she stop this and also stop 3 copies of the one e-mail storing in outlook express? She wants to use yahoo only.

To stop OE deleting the emails from the Yahoo account:

In OE click Tools → Accounts... → Mail

Select the Yahoo email account

Properties → Advanced → Leave a copy of messages on server

(make sure the two Remove... boxes below are unticked)

and click OK

......hmmm.....leaving copies of emails on the server indefinately is IMHO not a good idea....I send lots of large files and when my account suddenly stopped handling picture files I had to phone the ISP, who said I had reached my limit...in other words my post box was full...........cost me a 10 quid call to get them to empty it.............

commoner -  The whole point about web-based email such as Yahoo is that they give you Gigs of space and advocate never having to delete emails ever again.

Of course this doesn't hold up if have a hefty throughput, but you can always delete non-required emails via the webpage.

..lol...kempie, I speak only from experience........though, admitedly, my throughput is MASSIVE......hope your advice works for matadon...commoner :-)
