My Kindle has just frozen. I can't turn the page, go to home, or even switch it off. Has anyone experienced this before and if so, what can you do to make it behave normally again?

Yes...leave it till battery dies....then charge fully..
try the resetting point. should be on the side of the case.
Hold the off button for a while, see if it switches off in the end. If so leave it for 10 minutes then come back and switch in on. It should release it from its frozen state.
This sometimes happens with my Kobo reader,I get a toothpick or something similiar and put it in the tiny hole on the bottom...that sorts it...a Kindle must have something like that as Lady-janine says
This happened with my missus' kindle. She ended up ringing the help desk and they talked her through what to do. Apparently, we had inadvertently logged into a wifi 'hotspot'????? That was enough to alter the kindle settings. Working fine now. Hope this helps
