I have recently fitted the above camera system in my house. It's a 4 camera kit with the capability to view images via a smartphone. Problem is, the HDD is upstairs and the wifi router is downstairs. Is there a way to connect the system to my home internet via wifi?

As far as I know you can only connect the unit via Ethernet so either run a cable from the router upstairs or use a Home Network Plug > http://tinyurl.com/kwtzr2z

methyl: I read the HDD as being the CCTV unit although as you stated it does mean Hard Disc Drive. Technically not 100% incorrect as the CCTV unit most likely has a HDD. Ah the fun of CCTV kits and how useless they all seem to be - especially the ones for £250 for 4 cameras that boast they can do anything.
