admin password to repair xp

i need to repair windows xp pro but it asks for my administrator password although i never put an administrator on my pc when i first installed xp.
any ideas on how to get around this please.

Here are instructions on how to reset the password.

IF you didn't set up an admin password when you installed XP all you need to do is press enter on your keyboard and it will be bypassed.

If you have simply forgotten that you did set one, follow kempie's advice

The reset doesn't necessarily work for the administrator. Download BARTPE [Google it].

It's a long job creating a "pre-environment", but you can handle your hard disk completely without any log-ons and, in some circumstances change any and all paswords.
