sound card driver

Hi, im a bit stuck here and wonder if anybody can help ?

I have no sound on my pc, so have searched and found that i have a 'c-media cmi8738/c3dx' sound card and have downloaded a zip file containing the driver, the problem is i cant unzip the file, is this usual with windows me ?

how do i go about installing the driver ?

Have you first downloaded and installed either Winzip or Winrar. One of these is needed to unzip a .zip file. Both of them offer a version that is free.
