I have heard the best thing to write assignments on, using a macbook is google documents. Is this correct?

Also, how do you download? Is it just a case of typing google documents into the address bar and then just signing up to an account?

Sorry, I'm a novice with all this.

Thanks

I think you first need an account, as you say. Opening a gmail account is the first step. On the google home page there is a small square, made up of nine smaller ones, at top right of screen.
Click on it and 9 options appear, Drive among them.
Sorry, I was thinking of Drive rather than Google Docs. I don't know if they're the same thing.
Not aware of the subject matter but wish to say that IMO it's going to be a case of personal preference. I'd have thought any common word processor would be fine.
Google docs is part of their web based products. So you don't download it as such but use it direct from the web (Like Microsoft Office 365).
