Shutting down problem

My Computer keeps shutting down, in the restart mode, does anyone have any suggestions on how I might cure this?

Sasser worm type virus?

You'll need to scan for viruses, and fix what you can.

possibly something a lot simpler though...

Thanks Chapel, but I've managed to scan, and according to my anti-virus, its clean.
