I honestly thought I plugged the stick in and pressed the bit that says copy to CD, but when I got to Tesco to get some prints, there was nothing on the stick. Now OH is having a go with another stick and its just taking us ages; 2 hours so far. Neither of us know what we're doing really so PLEASE PLEASE help.
Use Windows Explorer. Find out where the picture files presently are and highlight them. right click and choose 'copy'.
Then use Windows Explorer to go to the flash drive that you have identified. Chose a suitable location/directory/folder on the drive. Right click in it and select 'paste'.
when you right click on copy, or send to, a menu will present one will be your stick..actual name may show or 'storage device' click on that and they will move to stick
Take the USB stick (also called a flash-drive) out of your computer, and see which one disappears........ *that* will be the drive (e or f) which your computer has given to the USB stick.
If you use Windows Explorer (or double click on 'My computer' as jack suggests) then you will see the different drives down the left hand side of the window. You just need to identify the one which presently holds your picture files and explore to find them. And also find the one that represents the flash drive you wish to copy to.
Both will have been allocated a letter to identify it.
It is easier to show someone, but you can explore and play and see what does what.
you need to find wat your stick is called on yur computer....go to my computer and look at devices....pull out stick tht option will disappear..put back in and remember what it came up as....go to photo file right click select copy or move to, and menu will pop up one of them will be whatever your stick is called click on that
Not check Chillies vid, but once you have found the existing pictures files, and the drive that is the flash drive, you can drag them one by one from the existing location to the flash drive using the mouse. Or you can highlight them and right click, select copy, then right click on the flash drive and select paste.
