Adobe Premier Editing And Pcs
5 Answers
I do a lot of video editing and need a new PC. I currently use an old CS3 version of Adobe Premier to edit with and have a lot of half finished projects. I am worried that if I get a new faster Windows 7 PC, that it may not be compatible with Premier which currently I use an old PC, Windows XP. I don't want to upgrade to a new version of Premier in case it means I can't edit my old projects. How can I do this?!

Having said that I would be absolutely amazed if a version of any software wouldn't read an earlier version, even if it couldn't save it again in the earlier format. I've used Pinnacle Studio for editing videos for years; when I had to upgrade because of a computer change and again to allow me to write BluRay discs I have been able to read all my old projects and edit them but the saved version was in the new format.
