Ipad Problem

My emails on my iPad is portrait and I cannot get it to rotate to landscape.

Everything else is landscape.

I have inadvertently locked it and if so how do I get it to rotate again?

While in the mail app do the following:
-Hold down the power button until "slide to power down" is shown
-Let go of the power button and hold the home button until the mail app closes.

Typically it spontaneously sorted itself out when I returned to the mail app having read your advice!
