Renaming An Icon

Is there an EASY way of renaming an icon on my home page on my iPad air?
If it is too involved the very small technical part of my brain won't be able to do it.

You cannot rename apps - if that is what you are trying to do.

You can rename folders of apps, though.

Darn! Thanks Jomlett. That's what I wanted to do because quite often the name they get doesn't tell what it's about and since there is only one in that subject I can't make a file.

You can rename the folders.

You need 2 apps to create a folder, so just use any other app tommake your folder, then move the spare app out, and you will still have your app in its folder.
