Windows 10 Has Been Released!

On my task-bar,this morning, I have the Windows 10 sign informing me 'Get Windows 10'. Does this mean that official release has happened? OR is this another scam?
Anyone got any 'feed back' on this?

Windows 10 is NOT available yet.

Saying "It has been released" in your question is a bit like watching a trailer for the next Star Wars film and saying the film has been released.

This "Get Windows 10" prompt is just to register your interest and reserve your upgrade (if you want to ).

It probably wont be out until August according to some web sites.

Not the final version, but anyone can download and install the previews which are perfectly reliable. I have it on two of my machines.

They decided not to have a Windows 9. My husband is one of the people testing windows 10, updates have to be downloaded every week as they make amendments. Then he reports back, along with many others, all the gremlins. It does not sound as if they have got it completely right yet, especially the windows 10 on the phone.
