Printer Problem

I have a Epson XP215, It showed the ink light on I replaced the (empty) cartridges with the epson replacments but! they did not work, the light is on so I replaced them all and the light is still on, troubleshoot tells me that they are empty or does not reckognise them. any answers please

If your printer told you that you needed to replace all of the inks (rather than just one or two), it definitely suggests that there's a major fault with the printer. However, did you remember to press the button that starts ink charging after inserting the cartridges? (It's the one with the apex-down triangle).
