Does anyone use either this or a similar product.I want a colleague to be able to use Act on his pc at home by connecting to the server at work.
Any advice appreciated.

You can connect by direct dial or via IP over the net. But you will have to configure your office firewall to allow traffic through the appropriate port.
If configured correctly it is very secure.
Alternatively, if your server is W2K or later you could just use the remote admin option (you may need to install the remote desktop client on your colleague's machine).
