Im looking at an ipod. I don't need it to store pictures on, but is it still worth getting a colour one, and is the battery life worse than the standard one??

Unless you're buying second hand, you're unlikely to find any normal iPods anymore, since apple have stopped making them.
The iPod and iPod photo are now one and the same.

As above, all ipods that come with screens are colour, the latest being the ipod nano
