The inside of my microwave is quite corroded with bits of the wall come off and exposed. I guess it has rusted with the steam/moisture and bits have flaked off.
Do you think this is dangerous?

Not an expert, but definitely sounds like it.
I'd have thought as long as you don't mind paint and rust in your food, it'd be ok until it starts sparking badly.
Get a new one. They're cheap enough, especially at this time of the year.
Mine went just like that two weeks before Christmas, knew it was a problem when it began to spark - luckily Santa has brought me a new one.

Get rid.
Bought a new one today for £40. Quite basic, but all that I need.
Can leak microwave radiation !
Get a new one.

Microwaves are so cheap these days, I wouldn't have thought it worth the risk to hang on to it.
