Cordless Headphones

I have a set of cordless headphones which plug into my BT digibox and allow me to hear TV on them with the TV volume turned to zero.

They don't work when I play a DVD - I have tried plugging into what I think is the TV outlet - the red and white links - but no joy.

Am I doing something wrong here?
