New Iphone 6
36 Answers
I will be getting my new iPhone 6 delivered by courier sometime tomorrow.
At present, I have an iPhone 4. This new 6 is an upgrade from O2, and I am retaining my 4.
I have a lot of stuff stored under the "notes" section, plus loads of contacts, telephone numbers, and email addresses. I also have a few apps. like Dictionaries, etc, that I don't want to lose.
I know the 2 phones use a different SIM, so I can't just take the SIM out of my 4 and pop it in my new 6.
So is there a way that I can swap all the above onto my new 6, without using iTunes ?
The reason that I am asking is that find itunes a very un-friendly thing to use. I spent ages a couple of years ago, loading lots of classical music on to the 4, and then it all ruddy disappeared, when I synced on itunes !

Make sure that process completes.
When you get your new iPhone 8, set it up with your Apple ID.
It will prompt you to set up as new, or from a back up.
Setting up from a back up will copy Notes, Apps, texts, Contacts, everything.

The O2 Guru ( ! ) sorted everything out for me today. It took him 50 mins and it was a lot more complicated that it at first appeared, so I jolly glad that I didn't attempt this myself !
( smashing phone this iPhone 6 by the way ! )
5 stars for the Guru chappie......he explained everything very clearly and couldn't have more helpful if he had tried. A consumer "good story" for a change.
( Tesco please note ! )

My nephew, who has lived and worked in Sydney for the last 3-4 years, is now about to get his dual nationality. But he has moved after Xmas to Brisbane....the little beggar isn't very good at responding to his Uncle's emails, so how hot is it up there, and what is the weather patterns that he expect? eg....does Brisbane get a monsoon ?

Morning Mikey, or should I say evening.
Cyclones don't usually travel as far south as Brisbane although the city does cop the tail end occasionally. It's a nice city, good climate and not over crowded. A very efficient public transport system and good road network. We were up there over Christmas and New Year, our son has a 3 month internship with CSIRO.
Can't see a reason why your nephew wont like living there, beats the heck out of Sydney, in my humble opinion, of course.

Just follow the guide to transfer data from iPhone to iPhone. It's a good tool to manage your data on iPhone. It can also transfer data like contacts, photos, music, videos and more between iPhone and PC. Media URL: http://www.transphone.net/ios-transfer/photos-from-iphone-to-iphone.html
