Dvd Not Playing On Sony Vaio

I put in a dvd yesterday and nothing happened, nothing popped up zilch have, am on win 10, can't find the dvd player anywhere on laptop either!

Hc4361 has provided the essential answer to your question (as VLC is a zillion times better than Windows Media Player) but I'll just add that Windows 10 doesn't come with a DVD player,which obviously explains why you couldn't find one!
